best ever - got it as a joke. Ha Ha joke is on my sister these are awesome chickens

Great white elephant or awesome unexpected gift in general.

Hilarious and brilliant every year. My new boss had last year's calendar and I was jealous, this year she couldnt find it in stores so I surprised her with this. She was floored and so happy. THis random calendar will be great for any vegan or vegetarian friend (also a little mocking LOL) great for a white elephant gift and a great price too. You cant help but laugh no matter who you are looking at these wacky little guys!

Great gift for the chicken person in your life!

What can I say, I love my chickens and have about 22 different breeds. I love the variety of them and this book illustrates the diversity of this species with wonderful art quality pics. It is definitely a table top book.

It’s a tiny book size.

I have purchased this book for years in a normal size. This arrived like 4” x 6”....takes away the whole impact. I’m sure and admit I did not see the size listed but am sure it was. The cover etc are the same. It makes no sense to have such pictures vs the normal photographic format size. I returned the book.

Extraordinary chickens

I have bought this calendar for a few years now, the photos of the chickens are really nice and they are unusual chickens - at least I think so. Nice big spaces to write things in the days. I'll keep on purchasing every year.

Disappointed!

The photographs are hit or miss. Overall they seem hastily done with some bizarre choices of cropping and filters from photoshop (the silkie chicken looks greasy and prickly. weird.) I would recommend a different calendar. Perhaps the photography books of Extraordinary Chickens are better! I wanted to love this, but am very disappointed :(

USPS Delivery Man Approved

Our mailman at work has chickens and is obsessed. I casually came across this when looking at calendars and I had to get it for him for X-mas. He enjoyed it and it made his day!

The Dark Brahma female shown in the first inside page is worth the price of the calendar.

As always- the true personalities and beauty of our favorite purebred birds shine from the pages of this glorious work. Thank goodness, such an artist exists to bring out the perfection of these birds.

For Those Who Love Looking At Chickens

I got this book for my 11 year old son, who absolutely adores chickens. (We even have a pet backyard flock of our own who gives us hours of delight and entertainment just with their comical antics.) So if chickens are your thing, this is the perfect book for you. It shows mainly amazing photographs of these birds in a variety of settings. The only complaint I have about it was that it is not thick enough. (That's why the author wrote a sequel.) This is one book that will keep you busy admiring the beautiful birds within for a while. It is designed for people who appreciate chickens for something other than how they taste roasted on a bed of rice.

What a bunch of cool chickens

I don't remember when or where I first saw this book, but the thought of a book dedicated to exotic chickens was fascinating. I held off buying until I found it used from a seller. Okay. Exotic CHICKENS??? I'm just a city girl who thought chickens were tasty and gave us eggs. But there are folks out there who take their chickens seriously, and these birds are breathtakingly beautiful if not a little weird. Tall, short, fluffy, skinny, whiskered, bearded. And the patterns and colors on these birds make me just go "whoa". Really, I could not have imagined these birds actually existed. Go figure.
