This does worry me as it could be easy to forget and leave on particularly when leaving work
Purchase for my wife while at work. Very nervous about whether it would put out sufficient heat to keep her warm. Some contradicting reviews on the matter. The report back though was two thumbs up. In fact she says she has to turn it off every once and awhile to keep from getting too warm. Heater does have a tip safety switch but does not have a thermostat. You must turn the heater on and off. This does worry me as it could be easy to forget and leave on particularly when leaving work. With any heating product the last thing you want to do is leave it on all night with nobody around. But for the price I really don't think you can complain too much. All in all a great product that works as described.

Great for indoor camping
It isn't a magic heater that will warm a room with the power of a 150-200 watt light bulb. It's as advertised, a personal heater, not a space heater and produces a quiet, warm breeze on top of your desk or under it. I live in a loft above a garage and with the bathroom as the only exception, no internal walls and a 12ft ceiling. It stays cool in the warm weather but this time of year I would go to the poorhouse trying to afford heat. I have a large self-standing tent over a couch and chairs heated with a regular 1200w space heater... my guests enjoy "camping out" inside. I also have a pop-up privacy tent that fits nicely over a reclining chair like a canopy which I pull up to my computer table. This heater keeps a warm billow of air around me while the rest of my cave is in the forties. For me, it's perfect! I do my computer work in the great indoors. If you are looking to heat anything larger than a closet, than this is not your choice.

Perfect for winterizing a trailer
Perfect for my purpose. I have a travel trailer which will get condensation, mold and mildew inside it if it is not warmed slightly in the winter. It used to be that I could just leave a 100 Watt light bulb on in the winter, but alas, real 100 Watt bulbs are no longer to be found. The new LED ones only put out a few paltry Watts of heat even though they make lots of light. Same for the CF lights. So, one of these little heaters is the solution. Plug it in in October and just let it run until March. Electricity use is not very much, and just a few degrees keeps the trailer mold and mildew free. I still need to keep a 110 V light bulb on in the trailer, just to let me know that the electricity is still on in there and the heater is working, but an LED works just fine for that job. Going to buy a second one for the pump house this winter. We insulated it, and can keep the water lines from freezing with a little heater like this instead of a 1400 Watt electricity pig.

Good little heater, just not quite what I needed but I'll use it.
While it is working good so far, there are two problems I have with it. At my job, my hands can get really cold randomly and I needed something to keep them warm so I can type/use mouse. This was the best desktop heater I could find for my needs. The problems are not the fault of the product but because I need it to heat my hands, this unit was designed to blow the air at about a 40-45 degree angle and not strait. This causes the heat to blow up above my hands. I have to prop something under it to lean it forward so the heat runs across my hands. The second problem is the fan that blows the heat is not very powerful. I understand that if it blows to hard, the heating elements wont be able to get hot but this causes the heat to rise too fast and not reach my hands. It sorta helps but just not enough for me. I currently use it to cup my hands in front of it to allow them to heat up every so often. Again these problems are specific to my needs, if I just needed it to keep warm altogether I think it would be fine.

Won't heat a room but it will make your tropical parrots very happy.
This is my third Honeywell Heat Bud and not because they're unreliable and/or defective, it's because they get knocked off the stool and onto the floor from time to time and eventually quit working because of my own carelessness. I do not use these heaters for myself but instead place them on a bar stool to blow warm air into a large bird cage containing tropical parrots belonging to my mom. I live in the upper midwestern USA and these birds don't like cold weather. I am taking care of her birds because she's on an extended, family vacation in Europe. Don't expect to warm your house with this little 250 watt micro heater, that would be like trying to vacuum your house with a rechargeable Dustbuster. But these heaters do put out what you would expect a 250 watt heater to put out and they are perfect for pets because they don't get dangerously hot and are cheap enough to replace. Your typical, everyday electric heater uses 1500 watts and are expensive to use and dangerous to pets and can ignite combustibles.

Small but Powerful!
I give this mini heater 5 stars. For its size, it really does a great job. I work in a traditional office space and it gets quite cold by mid-day. I keep this heater on my floor about 6 inches from my feet and it heats my feet and legs nicely. If there is a slight draft I put it on low, and if it is outright cold I put it on high and that is where this little things shines. It will not, of course, heat your entire body. But I keep a scarf for around my shoulders and I am usually comfortable enough to make it through the day. Since it is low wattage, I feel confident that it will not trip the circuit at work and it is discreet in black. Also, this heater is not incredibly noisy- especially since it is under the desk. It sounds like a small fan on the lowest setting. Not loud at all, so that is also good so that you don't get tired of hearing it, or disturb your coworkers.

This is the BEST little space heater ever
This is the BEST little space heater ever! My office is freezing in the summer and I am always so cold. I purchased this heater because it stated it runs on the same amount of electricity as a standard cell phone charger and I needed to be sure it didn't surge and power off my computer. I ran this all day yesterday and never had an issue once! It is very small but under a desk, it keeps your legs nice and toasty. It could easily fit on top of a desk for arm warmth but I have not tried it yet. It definitely will not heat up your whole office area but I just wanted my legs to be warm. It is VERY quiet and the two speeds have a slight difference but not much. I am very happy with this purchase and glad to not be frozen anymore :)

Perfect for a freezing cold office
My office is beyond freezing. No matter the time of year, I work with sweaters on, usually a scarf, and a fleece blanket on my lap. And I'm still cold. I really like this little guy because it's so tiny that it doesn't clutter up my work space much, and I can move it around. I put it right next to my mousepad to keep my fingers warm and sometimes move it to slip it under my desk to warm up my toes. If you're looking to warm a whole room, it probably won't work for that. But it's absolutely perfect to provide a little extra warmth directly next to you.

Great personal space heater
Okay so the deal with this heater is you need to manage your expectations of what you're getting. The thing is tiny, it's literally the size of a large cup of coffee. If you think it's going to heat a whole room, no matter how small, that's just ridiculous. What it works great for is sitting right next to you to warm you up in a drafty room. I love putting it next to me when I'm home working for long hours at a desk. Then I don't have to blast the whole house heater to keep me warm, because this little thing does a wonderful job keeping the chill off me, and it's so small that I barely notice the space it takes up on the desk. It's super quiet too, so I think you could definitely use it at an office and your co-workers wouldn't notice the sound. Given how reasonably priced and how small it is, I love this thing!! I strongly recommend, as long as you understand what it will and won't work for

This is a great little heater for the price
This is a great little heater for the price. I read many of the reviews that said it didn't put out enough heat, but they were trying to heat a large room with it. I just wanted to warm up my small bathroom when I take a shower in the morning. It is absolutely perfect for this job. It is compact and quiet and does exactly what is advertised. If you want to heat a large area, this is not the heater for you, but if you want to take the chill off, as I do, then this is a great product.. Very pleased with this product...Oh, as a side note...my Sadi pup says it warms her little tummy just right :)
